Hello readers, my blog is still going, but
slowly.
This is in part due to the fact I just went on a trip to Paris (and that I have been really lazy.)
So I might as well update you on what’s going on.
As mentioned, I have been to Paris; this
primarily consisted of sight-seeing and spending two days in Disney Land and
Disney Studios. Unfortunately I don't have pictures, so i'll try best to make
what i'm describe sound amazing.
Day 1: The day was spent sight-seeing all
the various land marks and a walk around the arts district.
Paris looks just as stunning as you would expect
and a lot of it still looks like Art Nouveau, with some lovely Parisian
building still around. While it was great to see the beautiful architecture, I
did feel it was only being preserved for tourists.
Day 2: This day was spent at Disney Land.
Not really much to say about it other than if you haven't been its worth going
to go the rides (The park is not as big as Florida's but it’s still nice.)
Also if you do go to any of the Disney Land
parks, go on perhaps the scariest ride in the park - the 'It’s a Small World’
ride, it is truly terrifying (especially after 3 goes on it, just to let
the rides message sink in). If you don't believe me just look up the 'It’s a
Small World' song on YouTube and try telling me it doesn't sound sinister...
My only regret was that I didn't get to ride the‘Pirates
of the Caribbean' ride drunk, well maybe next time.
Day 3: The day was spent at Disney
Studios, which arguably has better rides than Disney Land.
I got to experience 'The Twilght Zones: Tower
of Terror', which felt more frightening this time round than in previous
years. I also got to sit in a giant rat on the new 'Ratatouille' ride
which was nice. But most of all I beat my own record for most consecutive goes
on the'Areosmith - Rockin' Rollercoaster', beating my previous record
of 5, with 10 consecutive goes! Try and beat that!
I do regret not going on the 'Armageddon' FX ride, which I like to call 'The Micheal Bay Experience'.
I do regret not going on the 'Armageddon' FX ride, which I like to call 'The Micheal Bay Experience'.
Day 4: The day was spent visiting the various war
memorials in Belgium and ending the trip with a visit to the Ypres chocolate
shops.
The memorial visits allowed time to reflect on
those involved in The Great War, it also let me inspired my possible film
ideas, and that I also got to dress up as a WW1 British soldier.
The trip ended at the Ypres chocolate shop. As
usual the shop owner did his typical 'and wait!, there’s more!' offers
on chocolate; unfortunately there was no mention of his 'chocolate fingers'
(That’s one for Miss.B!)
So to round of my thoughts on the trip, I would
to thanks the people that kindly let me join them, I got to hear many interesting
anecdotes and gain some interesting trivial information, as well as some interesting life advice, and
also to thank the brilliant and informative coach driver we had and the tour
guide we had for the war memorials. I would give the trip a big 'thumbs up'
(another one for Miss.B!, she knows what we mean.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So i'm going to do one more comic book related
post and then try and some other posts on other topics of interest and possibly put up some of my short
films for you all to see.
I hope to see you again blog readers.
